We currently operate a single weekly session at the Pakistani Community Centre in Bradford, serving hot meals to those in need every Tuesday evening from 6pm to 8pm.
Since launching in Bradford in December 2012 and expanding to Keighley and Leeds, our Mobile Kitchen project has distributed over 200,000 meals across these cities.
Session Details
Our Bradford session runs every Tuesday with kitchen service beginning at 6:30pm. Please note our important guidelines:
- All kitchen recipients must be 18+ years old
- Under-18s may attend once as an experience, but must be accompanied by an adult
- A completed disclaimer form and authorization from our Volunteer Manager is required for minors
Volunteer Information
Our volunteer team represents the beautiful diversity of our community:
- Guest volunteers may attend up to two sessions before completing an application form
- All regular volunteers must attend an induction session
- We welcome people from all backgrounds, faiths, and walks of life
Our Mission
The Mobile Kitchen project aims to:
- Provide hot meals and drinks to people experiencing poverty or homelessness
- Serve nutritious meals typically including chicken biryani with raita and bread
- Offer hot beverages like tea, coffee, and hot chocolate with snacks
- Bring communities together through shared service
We are continually humbled by the community spirit that makes this project possible, with support from corporate sponsors, local businesses, and individual donors working together to help those in need.
Expansion Plans
After successful launches in Bradford, Keighley and Leeds, we're now looking to:
- Partner with local teams in neighboring cities
- Expand our meal service to new locations
- Continue building bridges between communities
